Tension Between The Shoulder Blades

Help for tension in the shoulder blades
Just looking at the muscles in this picture on the left, you can see that there is a distinct connection between the head and the shoulder blade, and the shoulder blade to the arm.  You don't need to know the names or actions of the muscles to hypothesize that movement of the shoulder blades are key to healthy arms and a healthy neck.

Quite often clients come to see me with "knots" between their shoulder blades, rock hard upper traps, or a sensation that someone is stabbing them in the back with a hot poker. When I assess the movement and ability for the shoulder blades to move over the ribcage, the motion is almost non- existent.
In the video on the right, I share with you one of my favorite ways to get motion to the shoulder blades and freedom to the entire upper extremity!

OH MY GOD!! Thank you so much, Susan! I feel immediate relief.

The simple tests are amazing that after I performed the exercises I get immediate improvement in my flexion and movement on my neck!

Susan, I just want to take the time to thank you for what you do. After several years of immersing myself in it, I've found that your exercises are probably THE most effective in the restorative exercise movement. When I'm experiencing a lot of pain, I know that doing just one of your videos will provide quick relief, especially for my gnarly upper body. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with the world; you have made a difference in my life!

Thank you for the info. I have two frozen shoulders and the doctor said there was nothing I could do. I just can not believe that. I am going to go slow but try to do some of these and open up my shoulders. My mobility has really been affected. Hope it works! Thanks again!
